The California Water Alliance (CalWA) is the state’s leading educational and authoritative voice on California water. CalWA informs, educates and advocates about water to over a million Californians each year. Founded in 2009, CalWA is a non-partisan 501 (c)(4) non-profit organization that advocates for the water essential for the lives and livelihoods of California families, communities, cities, businesses, farmers and the environment.
What We Do
CalWA’s research, programs and campaigns in advocacy and education inform the public, governmental agencies and policy makers about water issues crucial to Californians, California and the West. Our publics, numbering over a million in 43 states, include the media, general public, local officers in California and Washington.
What We Want
CalWA advocates for meaningful change and reform of California and U.S. water policies for the betterment of all California and the West, making them more transparent and accountable to the public.
